Our SHARP Students of the Month of January (and their representatives)! Do you know them? If you do, you know these scholars are always striving for 4s across the board and never settle for less than the best. Way to go, Tigers!🐯
Thank you for a wonderful community dinner last night. We shared with one another, played a game, heard from our Student Council about their work with the Alameda County Office of Education, listened to parent testimonies, and committed to actions and efforts to support our school on the road to renewal.
We have a beautiful community who always stands side-by-side.
Shout out to our Parent Coordinators and Families in Action for this great work.
You know we ready! This weekend was a great showing for our Tigers, battling until the end.
Thank you to our student photographer for snapping these photos📸!
Today, we walked over 100 students across our Coliseum neighborhood, past Oracle Arena, and onto BART to see GOAT. What’s more Oakland?!
The message hit home for us: You’re never too small to dream big.
Every day, our school proves that greatness isn’t about size—it’s about heart, determination, and believing you’re built to win.
Around here, we like to say we’re the GOAT of Deep East Oakland.
So proud of this community and the big dreams growing here every day!

Bay Area kids doing Bay Area things all week this week! On Thursday, our 7th and 8th grade students went to San Francisco, visited the aquarium, and took a boat on the Bay. 🌁
7th and 8th grade scientists enjoyed a beautiful day on the Bay! We observed the sea lions at Pier 39, completed the Bay Aquarium’s scanvenger hunt, and then got on the high seas to observe marine mammals in their natural habitat. Thank you to the Marine Mammal Center for their Ocean Ambassadors program— it’s a partnership our students have enjoyed for years!
The heart and hustle of this team is unmatched! It’s been a couple of years since we fielded a basketball team and we came out with a vengeance this season. Some of our players were seasoned vets and some were rookies. But they all showed they have the heart of a Tiger!
Fun fact: Our coach was coached by a player’s dad and now both their sons are running together as the next generation. That’s the “Unity Way!”🐯
