OUMS is one of only 4 middle schools in Oakland honored for Outstanding Academic Growth on the SBAC assessment in both English and Math. We are proud of our academic program and know that we offer rigorous, college-preparatory curriculum.
OUMS has a family feel. Every staff member knows every student. Each morning, students gather together with their advisories for a morning meeting. Then, students attend Math, English, Science, History and Physical Education. Students are offered electives such as art, Ball for Life, and technology.
At OUMS, we have a free After-School Program daily until 6pm.
