Tigers go to Lassen Volcanic National Park!

What a way to kick off summertime! On Friday, June 18th, our OUMS Tigers packed up and headed out to Lassen Volcanic National Park for a weekend of camping, hiking, campfire stories, and quality time in the great outdoors. We are grateful to have a partnership with Bay Area Wilderness Training who provided amazing gear for our students: boots, tents, sleeping bags, and hiking poles.

One of the many highlights of the trip included a 4:00am wake-up call to hike to Bumpass Hell, a hydrothermal area with a trail past mud pots, boiling springs, and epic mountain views. Our students made it to the summit and watched the sunrise over the mountaintops.

What a trip!
